About the Hackathon
One day. Five tracks. Build something that could change a life.
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei wrote an essay titled "Machines of Loving Grace" about a future where AI helps eliminate disease, expand opportunity, strengthen democracy, and help people find meaning. As builders, you have the opportunity to play a role in making this future real. The Anthropic Hackathon at IIT Delhi is part of the CBC Spring 2026 Global Hackathon — running simultaneously across 78 universities in 12 countries. Over 8 hours, you will form a team, choose a track focused on real social impact, and build a working solution to a problem that affects real people. We are not looking for polished products. We are looking for honest thinking, specific problems, and working prototypes. You need to be able to name the person you are building for.Organized by Claude Builder Club @ IIT Delhi in collaboration with SInC IIT Delhi. Powered by Luna. Sponsored by Anthropic and LatentForce.THE FIVE TRACKSTrack 1 — Biology & Physical HealthHealthcare is expensive, inaccessible, and confusing. Medical knowledge that could help people is locked behind jargon and paywalls. Billions lack quality care; even those with access struggle to navigate the system. Examples: Diagnostic aids for underserved clinics · Medication adherence tools · Health literacy platforms · Symptom triage · Accessibility tools Key ethical question: When should your tool hand off to a real professional?Track 2 — Neuroscience & Mental HealthThere aren't enough therapists. Stigma prevents people from seeking help. Quality care is gatekept by insurance, geography, and language. Examples: Evidence-based therapeutic support · Mental health literacy · Burnout prevention · Peer support facilitation · Professional referral tools Key ethical question: What can AI therapy do, and what can it absolutely not replace?Track 3 — Economic Empowerment & EducationTalent is universal. Access to quality education and economic advancement is not. Geography, wealth, and language lock people out of opportunity. Examples: Adaptive tutoring · Career transition guidance · Financial literacy · Job interview prep · Scholarship matching · Practical language learning Key ethical question: Who gets excluded by your design — by tech requirements, literacy level, or cultural assumption?Track 4 — Governance & CollaborationDemocratic institutions are strained. Polarisation makes dialogue difficult. Civic participation is down. Communities can't coordinate around shared challenges. Examples: Community deliberation platforms · Policy explanation tools · Legislative transparency · Nonpartisan voter education · Conflict mediation Key ethical question: How could your tool be weaponised for manipulation? What's your safeguard?Track 5 — Creative FlourishingAs AI handles routine work, questions about human purpose become urgent. Access to creative development is unequal. Examples: Community storytelling platforms · Music/art education with real-time feedback · Writing development tools · Language preservation · Intergenerational knowledge exchange Key ethical question: Is your tool keeping humans as creators, or quietly replacing them?SCHEDULE10:00 – 10:30 AM — Networking & Team Formation Doors open.
