About the Role

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating across all liquid asset classes worldwide. We are a technology- and data-driven group implementing a scientific approach to investing. Combining data, research, technology, and trading expertise has shaped QRT’s collaborative mindset, enabling us to solve complex challenges. Our culture of innovation continuously drives our ambition to deliver high-quality returns for our investors.

In this team, you will manage payroll operations, governance and delivery for the India office partnering with HR, Finance, regional teams, and external providers to ensure compliant and scalable operations

Your future role within QRT:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for the India office under an outsourced model, working closely with HRBPs and external vendors
  • Partner with the APAC payroll team to ensure process alignment, controls, and coverage
  • Ensure compliance with India statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, gratuity, income tax, NPS, benefits, reimbursements)
  • Review and approve monthly payroll inputs and outputs, including joins and exits, variable pay, incentives, tax declarations, and leave data
  • Oversee statutory filings, compliance, and audits, and support Finance with monthly and annual reporting
  • Manage exit settlements, including final payroll, tax computation, and statutory documentation
  • Support annual compensation and bonus cycles, including payroll processing
  • Administer employee benefits (enrolments, renewals, claims) and track regulatory changes impacting payroll and benefits
  • Maintain accurate employee data and reporting through Workday or HRIS
  • Collaborate closely with HR Ops, Finance, Tech, and external partners in a fast-paced, international environment

Your present skillset:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing India payroll, ideally within an outsourced payroll model (Big Four vendor experience is a plus)
  • Deep understanding of Indian employment law, social security schemes, and income tax regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with HRIS platforms such as Workday
  • High attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and ability to prioritize effectively to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to take ownership and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Organized and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Professional, articulate, and customer-focused, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support colleagues across functions and regions
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute proactively to wider HR initiatives
