Ecommerce Marketing & Shopify Optimization Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly capable Ecommerce Marketing & Shopify Optimization Specialist to support a growing online retail business in the organic produce space.

This role will focus on improving website performance, building and optimizing landing pages, supporting digital marketing initiatives, and assisting with ecommerce admin tasks. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, a clear communicator, and confident working across Shopify, subscriptions, email marketing, and digital advertising.

This person should be able to improve the customer journey, support online conversions, and troubleshoot website-related issues while also assisting with spreadsheets, pricing updates, and light operational admin.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ecommerce & Website Optimization

• Build and update landing pages on Shopify
• Optimize customer journey and website user experience
• Improve website speed and page performance
• Ensure clear calls-to-action are in place across the site
• Resize and optimize images for web performance
• Troubleshoot Shopify issues and template problems
• Support improvements to subscription experience within Recharge

Digital Marketing Support

• Support Facebook / Meta Ads
• Assist with SEO-related improvements
• Help test and identify new advertising ideas and opportunities
• Implement updates to Klaviyo email flows under direction
• Update layouts, wording, and email flow components as needed
• Support copy implementation provided by the business or consultant

Admin & Data Support

• Update product pricing in Shopify based on internal pricing models
• Maintain and update spreadsheets with stock and pricing information
• Enter operational data into spreadsheets accurately
• Assist with light admin work to fill capacity if full-time
• Support occasional customer-service-related tasks when needed

MUST-HAVES

• Strong Shopify experience
• Experience building landing pages
• Strong understanding of ecommerce customer journey
• Experience with website optimization and troubleshooting
• Experience with Facebook / Meta Ads
• Good communication skills and strong English
• Strong spreadsheet / Excel skills
• Ability to follow direction and implement accurately
• Comfortable supporting a growing ecommerce business

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Recharge
• Experience with Klaviyo
• Basic SEO knowledge
• Creative eye for layout and web presentation
• Basic copy implementation experience
• Experience in ecommerce, subscription businesses, or online retail
• Ability to support light admin and operational tasks

WORKING HOURS

• Flexible on time zone, but must have some overlap with Queensland / Brisbane business hours
• Full-Time preferred, but open to Part-Time to start and scale up
