As we gear up for Haulout — Walrus’s flagship hackathon (Nov 6–16) — we’re launching the Road to Haulout Buildathon, a hands-on builder sprint to help you craft, refine, and prepare your project for final submission.

This buildathon is your opportunity to start early, test ideas, and receive feedback before the main hackathon begins.

🏗 Buildathon Details:

Choose your problem statement and build in any of the official Haulout tracks:

Data Economy / Marketplaces – Build decentralized data markets emphasizing provable ownership, transparent pricing, and incentive mechanisms for data producers and consumers.

AI x Data – Combine AI with onchain data to enable smarter dApps, adaptive systems, and innovative gameplay or financial loops.

Provably Authentic (Truth Engine + Trust Oracle) – Design systems to verify provenance of media, build prediction markets for truth, or create AI trust oracles ensuring authenticity and reliability.

Data Security & Privacy – Build solutions around user protection, fraud detection, zero-knowledge proofs, and verifiable storage that align with privacy and compliance standards.
