Prize Pool Description

• Total value: 880,000 USDT (split into cash, cloud credits, top toolkits, and WXT tokens).

Submission Method and Rules

• Eligibility:

Individuals (global), registered enterprises, academic/research teams — must possess full civil capacity/compliance with relevant jurisdictions.

Exclusions: Individuals/entities penalized for finance/fraud violations; personnel related to WEEX/partners.

• Team Formation:

1–5 persons per team ("BUIDL"). Each person can only join one team.

• Pre-Registration:

Submit online via the official website (WEEX UID +KYC required).

• Submission Requirements:

Policy Description Document: Specify trading logic, rationale, and rules.

AI Participation Description: Explain role and implementation of AI/ML in the solution.

Code/Architecture Proof: Submit via public repository (e.g. GitHub).

• Approval:

All teams and submissions are subject to review. Approved teams gain access to WEEX's data and APIs.

• Judging:

Panel of domain experts + community (Popularity Award). Emphasis: technical quality, AI depth, integretability, innovation, and engagement.

• Leverage capped at 20x: High-leverage, gambling-style trading is strictly prohibited.
• Minimum of 10 trades required: Prevents “idle participation”; strategies must undergo sufficient testing.

How to Start WEEX AI Hackathon: Find Your UID to Submit Your Profile

To register for the WEEX Global AI Trading Hackathon, you need to acquire your WEEX UID first.

Step 1：Register Your Account

Positioning

The CoinGecko API Track is designed for builders who want to build smarter, data‑driven trading strategies with market intelligence and real-time data from the world’s most trusted and independent crypto market data provider. Participants are encouraged to use CoinGecko API’s REST and WebSocket endpoints to support key parts of their strategy workflow such as market discovery, backtesting, analytics, and monitoring.

To support eligible participants, CoinGecko API will provide complimentary access for a limited time:

• Complimentary Analyst Plan API Key (2 months) for each eligible participant/team
• Value: USD $258 per key (2-month equivalent)

How to Get Your CoinGecko API Key

To request access:

1. Fill in the CoinGecko API Dedicated Track Registration Request Form

2. The WEEX team will review eligibility and issue keys to approved participants

3. Approved participants will receive:

   • their CoinGecko API Analyst plan key
   • usage limits and basic API details

Issuance timeline: WEEX will respond to eligible requests within 48 hours / 2 business days.

Eligibility

Your submission is eligible as long as your trading strategy (or strategy workflow) meaningfully relies on CoinGecko API for at least one of the following:

• Market discovery(e.g., selecting assets/pairs, filtering assets, market mapping)
• Backtesting / simulation support(e.g., pulling historical market data for experiments, validation, benchmarking)
• Data analysis & research(e.g., correlation/volatility analysis, regime detection, risk inputs)
• Any other purpose that directly strengthens the trading strategy

Not eligible: Projects that only mention CoinGecko but do not actually use the API in a meaningful way.

What to Submit

To qualify for the CoinGecko API track, you must submit:

1. Public GitHub repository with a README section: “How CoinGecko API is used” (required) Include:

   • which CoinGecko endpoints/data you used
   • what each one contributed to your strategy/workflow
   • where it’s used in the project (reference to file/module)

2. Short walkthrough video (required, 1–5 minutes) Explain:

   • what your strategy/system does
   • where CoinGecko API fits in
   • what improved because of CoinGecko API

Judging Focus

We’ll judge from these lenses:

• Innovation & usefulness: Is it a clever / valuable trading strategy or trading tool?
• CoinGecko API contribution: Is CoinGecko API’s data important to the solution?
• Quality of integration: Clean, sensible use of data (not random calls)
• Clarity of explanation: Can we clearly understand “why CoinGecko mattered” from your README + video?
• WebSocket API usage (Bonus): Projects that integrate CoinGecko WebSocket API may receive bonus consideration during judging (not mandatory).

Basic Rules / Disqualification Criteria

• Do not leak API keys (in GitHub, video, screenshots, logs, or commits), store in a .env file instead.
